What is a home protection plan?

It's a protection plan that helps control the costs when essential systems and appliances in your home break down from everyday use. It can cover things like your plumbing system, refrigerator, clothes washer and dishwasher. Here's how it works:

When a covered item breaks down, request service anytime online or by phone and pay your preset deductible.

Step 2

We'll find a pre-screened service pro to diagnose and remedy the problem (If it can’t be repaired, it will be replaced.)

Step 3

Relax because we help pay the bill and your covered repair is guaranteed for 180 days. It's that simple.

To see a sample now, click here. Covered items must be in good working order, with no apparent visual or operational malfunctions, as of your service agreement effective date; 30-day waiting period applies. Deductible due at time of service request and is separate from the monthly plan premium. Non-covered charges, unit and dollar amount caps may apply. If you cancel after 30 days and have placed a claim, you would be responsible for a $25 cancellation fee as well as the remainder of the annual premium or the amount of the claim, whichever is less. 1Reimburses you up to $1,200 if (a) your only cooling or heating system is nonoperational for 24 hours or more from the time of the first service visit should there be a delay in acquiring repair parts, or (b) a sudden break in a water pipe results in flooding and the removal of water from the residence by a water removal company is delayed by 24 hours. Only one claim, per member per 12-month period. Additional terms and conditions apply, which will be included in your plan materials you receive after enrollment.
