What is a home warranty and how does it work?

A Cinch Home Warranty is an annual service agreement that helps cover the cost of repairs and replacements of certain appliances and in-home systems when mechanical breakdowns occur due to everyday wear and tear.

What is covered under the plans?

Complete Home w/PUP & PM (Premium):

  • Covers your heating, A/C, electrical and plumbing, and appliances. (See T&Cs for more detailed information.)
  • Covers rust and corrosion, lack of maintenance and other unknown pre-existing conditions.
  • Only a $120 per claim deductible for covered items.
  • 180-Day Workmanship guarantee on all covered repairs.
  • $25 credit you can use towards A/C or refrigerator filters.
  • 24/7 assistance by calling Cinch’s toll-free number or by going online at my.cinchhomeservices.com.
  • Up to $50 reimbursed if you lock yourself out of your home and need locksmith services. One claim per 12-month period.
  • Up to $10,000 aggregate coverage per year
  • Per claim cap of $5,000 for Built-in-Systems
  • $3,000 cap limits per agreement term applies towards covered appliances
  • Premier Upgrade Package (PUP):
    • Enhances the base Cinch Home Warranty coverage, by offering additional benefits for non-covered charges associated with a system or appliance repair or replacement.
    • Covers items such as: code upgrades, permits, duct/electrical/plumbing modifications, reclaim of refrigerant, disposal of equipment, condenser pads, etc.
    • Can be used two times per contract year, for up to $1,000 of non-covered charges each time. That’s up to $2,000 worth of coverage.
  • Preventive Maintenance (PM):
    • Enhances the life of the HAVAC system, increases peak performance, and reduces the risk of costly repairs.
    • Service includes:
      • One (1) professional inspection, tune-up, testing for the covered A/C (cooling) system to be scheduled February 15 through May 15.
      • One (1) professional inspection, tune-up, testing for the covered heating system to be scheduled August 15 through November 15.
  • Maintenance ONLY service requests do not include a deductible.
  • Preventative Maintenance pays for the labor for the service provider to complete the preventative maintenance checklist (See T&C for the complete checklist).
